As homo sapiens we hold a unique position in evolutionary history: we can evolve consciously. That is, we can choose the path of our development. Moreover, we have this highly developed sense of connection to fellow beings we call love. Experiencing love unselfishly brings us as individuals and a society the highest order of pleasure.
